I was hungry so I bit my soccer ball.

Nelson lost ANOTHER tooth! He's growing up too fast! This time it was a little loose but he was eating a sucker after school and the tooth stuck to it and 'popped" and started bleeding. He wouldn't let us pull it though.

Later at soccer practice he BIT his soccer ball (...yeah... I don't know why...) and when he took the ball away from his mouth the tooth was stuck to it! LOL....boys!

Keipersol Estate Date! (slide show too)

James and I went on a date last weekend! (Thanks MeMa & Gramps for babysitting!!) It was wonderful! For those of you haven't been to Keipersol Estates yet we highly recomend it! It's in Bullard (between Jacksonville & Tyler). They have a winery, restaurant, and a Bed & Breakfast. The B&B has 5 rooms. Ours was beautiful, luxurious, and so comfortable! We had doors leading to a screened in porch complete with a hot tub. James made dinner reservations too. So we got there and got all dressed up for dinner. They have a dress code that is just no t-shirts, tennis shoes, or ball caps... but we went above and beyond that and got all dressed up! I love having a reason to dress up and see James in a suit! Dinner was fabulous... crusty bread slices with olive tapenade (sp??), crab cakes on jicima slaw with remoulaude sauce as an appetizer. James had a ceasar salad. I had the house salad that was to die for! Mixed baby greens with balsamic vinagrette, crumbled goat cheese, dried cranberries, and spiced toasted pecans. James' entree was chilean sea bass crusted with crab, asparagus with a white wine & butter sauce, and garlic mashed potatoes. I had a filet mignon and half of a twice baked potato. We both sampled each others meals and ...well, I definitely want to go back! Both meals were scrumptious. I have had a hard time liking what I've eaten since then! We also each had a glass of wine with our dinner... I can't remember what they were but it was really good. Keipersol has a huge list of Texas wines but we opted to drink some that are actually from Keipersol. Then there was dessert..... A godiva chocolate cake (the kind where the chocolate is melted in the center) with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a capuccino. Needless to say.... we really enjoyed ourselves! The service was excellent too. After dinner we spent the rest of the night soaking in the hot tub. When breakfast time came we went back out to the restaurant. I just had the traditional breakfast of two eggs, toast, bacon, and fruit. James, on the other hand, had Eggs Benedict over sliced filet mignon and diced potatos. Afterwards we took a drive around the estate to see the where the winery and vines were. It's beautiful out there.. and if you are rich enough you can build a house there too. Ha ha! We plan on going back in the future to have the wine tour and tasting (complete with horse drawn carriage ride)....maybe for our anniversary!

Henry & Snow followed by Adventures in Photo Editing

Well, it did snow here Friday. Henry was home with me and was soooo excited!! When I picked Nelson up from school it was already over and he was so dissapointed. He informed me that "Mom, we JUST got to WALK through the snow. No playing!" It did snow once more after that but just briefly while we were driving to town.



I've figured out how to do some photo editing. It's fun and ADDICTING! I haven't learned much yet but will keep working on it. Below is a sample of what I've done.

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone is off to a good start. So far so good for us. We just switched insurance which is bitter sweet... we have to switch doctors ...bitter... but we have more coverage (dental, vision, maternity, etc.) which is sweet. Now that the Christmas season is over I have to get back in the swing of things.... I 've neglected my house, myself, and on occasion the kids (just kidding!). Seriously though... it's time to get in gear! My list for this year:

Get us back onto healthy eating (the holidays really messed that up!)
Get the house organized.
Find a church.
Excercise.
Cut back on the computer use.
Sell Scentsy.
Start having date night again.

DO you have any goals for this year? And yes.. I say goal. I just prefer that over resolution.

Well.... here's to realistic goals and a year full of blessings!!

The Suggs Invade Six Flags

My good friend Windy had tickets to Six Flags that they couldn't use so she passed them on us. I was so excited!! I had been wanting to take the boys to Holiday in the Park! We kept it a secret from them and boy they were THRILLED when we pulled up! They had a lot of fun riding all the kid rides (James too!) and we all road a little roller coaster together that was actually pretty fun. The best part was the sledding. I wish I had a video camera for that!!! It's been so long since we've been that we don't know if this is a holiday only thing or not but they had a food vendor there that cooked on the big giant skillets and served up hot potatos w/onions and chopped steak either in a basket or wrapped in a tortilla. James loves to cook out over a fire so this kind of thing always intrigues him. For me... I love the food and it reminds me of one of the places we stopped on our honeymoon. They had all kind of old fashioned stuff. Anyway.... Nelson was fascinated by this too. :) I've decided I need to go back to Six Flags without the kids or with another person that will watch the kids so James and I can ride all t he rides..... I LOVE roller coasters and missed riding them this time!
